Everything You Need for Your Big Day

We’ve been welcoming all kinds of couples to our lakeside resort to exchange their vows, surrounded by the essence of Lake Tahoe, and luxurious accommodations. We know you’ve got questions, and we’ve provided as much information as possible to help you choose our resort for your wonderful wedding.

What do your wedding specialists take care of?

Our Wedding Specialists will help you create a one-of-a-kind event that is truly personal and unforgettable for you and your guests

Make recommendations for Special Event Professionals to include wedding coordination, entertainment, floral, photography, ceremony officiate and amenities.
Act as a menu consultant for all food and beverage selections.
Detail your Banquet Event Orders and Wedding Resume outlining your entire event.
Create an estimate of charges outlining your financial commitments and deposit schedule.
Create a floor plan of your venue space, so you can provide seating arrangements.
Oversee the ceremony and reception room(s) set-up, food preparation and other hotel operations.
Ensure a seamless transition to the hotel’s Banquet Manager once the Grand Entrance has occurred.
Review your banquet checks for accuracy, prior to the completion of the final bill.
We will not collect any personal items you may have brought at the conclusion of the reception.

What other services can The Landing provide for my wedding?

As Lake Tahoe’s newest boutique hotel, The Landing Resort & Spa can also provide a wide spectrum of specialty items and enhancements to help personalize your stay to include but not limited to: a rehearsal dinner, or day-after wedding brunch. Our team can also assist you with welcome wedding baskets and luxury hotel amenities, and bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts to add a personal touch to your wedding celebration.

Can I host my entire wedding ceremony at The Landing Resort & Spa?

Yes, we offer ceremony and reception services.

What are the deposits? When are they due?

A 25% deposit of your estimated wedding cost is due upon booking to confirm and guarantee your wedding date. A second deposit of 25% is due approximately halfway between your booking date and the wedding date. Your final payment is due and payable 30 days prior to the wedding and is based on your final guarantee and food and beverage minimum.

How do I secure my wedding date and venue?

With a signed wedding agreement and deposit. Please contact Wedding Sales or 530-600-3516 for more information on booking your Lake Tahoe wedding with us.

Can The Landing Wedding Specialist recommend a minister, photographer, or florist?

We provide a list of preferred wedding vendors who know our resort and whom we can trust to meet the high standards we set for weddings at The Landing Resort & Spa.

Where do I get my marriage license?

The Landing Resort & Spa is located in California, requiring a California marriage license.

Can food or beverage be brought in from the outside?

The Landing Resort & Spa provides all food and beverage services for your event, except for wedding cakes which are to be provided by a licensed bakery. Our talented and experienced dining staff can offer complete menu consultations and excellent recommendations to customize your event.

When do I need to finalize my menu?

Food and beverage selections must be confirmed with your Wedding Specialist at least 8 weeks prior to your wedding. Your final guest count is due 72 hours prior to the wedding.

Do you provide children’s and vendor meals?

Children and vendor meals are customized to the needs of your event.

Where does the wedding party get ready before the ceremony?

Many of our brides choose to stay with us the evening before their wedding and therefore have the use of their room for changing. Your florist, bridesmaids and family members may bring any flowers and dresses into your room.

What is your cancellation policy? Terms and conditions?

Wedding deposits are non-refundable.

Is The Landing dog friendly?

We are absolutely dog friendly and love what pets bring to your special celebration. After all, they are family. We allow up to two dogs up to 35 lbs each or one up to 70 lbs for an additional fee.
