The Landing Resort & Spa to Open in December
The new meeting and conference destination will offer a variety of indoor and outdoor venues for meetings as well as opportunities to actively enjoy the area and a full-service spa.
The Landing Resort & Spa, an 88-room boutique hotel, spa, restaurant and conference center, will open in December becoming Lake Tahoe’s first five-star luxury lakeside property. The new meeting and conference destination will offer a variety of indoor and outdoor venues for meetings as well as opportunities to actively enjoy the area and a full-service spa.
"We’ve created The Landing out of our own desire for a five-star property located on the lake," says Jim Demetriades, owner. "We want to provide guests with luxurious accommodations that seamlessly integrate with the natural beauty of our unique lakeside setting."
The Landing is home to two indoor meeting spaces, the Lakeview Ballroom and the Lakeview Board Room, which feature a retractable glass wall to let in the mountain air and alpine landscapes from the patio. The Lakeview Ballroom can hold 65-120 people in its 1,225 square feet, while the 475-square-foot Board Room can seat 12-40 individuals. The two spaces can also be connected for a combined 1,700-square-foot space that can entertain a banquet for 120 guests. For a more intimate indoor gathering, Jimmy’s Restaurant features semi-private fireplace dining areas with optional outdoor patio dining beside fire pits. The restaurant will serve wood-fired Greek seafood and locally-sourced California cuisine.
The Landing Resort & Spa also serves as an outdoor venue, providing the Grand Rooftop Terrace, a 3,600-square-foot elevated deck that overlooks the beach and lake and accommodates 300 people. An outdoor heated tent is also available to hold up to 300 people in its 2,400 square feet.
The resort will feature meeting services and amenities such as full audiovisual services, catering from groups ranging from 20 to 300 and on-site dining at Jimmy’s Restaurant. Additionally, the Landing will offer high-speed wireless internet, a business center, copying and faxing, valet parking and local transportation. The spa will be available for guests to use in their free time and will include a full-service spa, fitness room, pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna.
